O.C. Comida y Vino Raises More Than $428,000 to Advance Care for Women and Children
O.C. Comida y Vino brought AltaMed supporters together to advance health care for women and children, raising more than $428,000 and highlighting the impact of accessible, specialized care through a powerful conversation about AltaMed’s pediatric dental services.
This year’s O.C. Comida y Vino, held at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton, CA, brought AltaMed supporters together for an afternoon of incredible food, meaningful connections, and a shared commitment to improving the health of women and children. More than $428,000 was raised to help uninsured and underinsured families access the high-quality, compassionate care they need.

Putting Patient Impact at the Center
Throughout the afternoon, guests had an opportunity to see the impact of that support firsthand. A special panel discussion highlighted AltaMed’s pediatric dental care and the importance of access to specialized dental sedation for children with complex needs.
The conversation featured AltaMed patient mom Lorena, who shared her family’s experience navigating her children’s dental care, alongside Priyal Ohri, DDS, Associate Vice President of Dental Pediatric and Specialty Programs at AltaMed. Dr. Ohri spoke about the specialized care AltaMed provides and the difference timely treatment can make in a child’s health and quality of life.
Their conversation was a powerful reminder of why this event matters. For many families, finding specialized care that is both accessible and affordable can be incredibly difficult. Support from O.C. Comida y Vino helps AltaMed bridge those gaps and ensure more women and children can receive the care they need to live healthy, thriving lives.
The event was hosted by Michelle Fisher of ABC7 Eyewitness News, who led the program with grace, alongside speakers who helped bring AltaMed’s mission and impact to life.
