Fireside Chat: Building Pathways to Tackle the Nursing Shortage, November 2023
Members joined the AltaMed Foundation Board of Trustees for an exclusive conversation on our efforts to tackle the critical nursing shortage. Two nurses, enrolled in AltaMed’s nursing pathway programs, shared their challenging yet rewarding career journeys. Attendees were among the first to learn about the AltaMed Nursing School Collaborative, an innovative new effort to educate the next generation of Latino nurses.

Fireside Chat: AltaMed Family Medicine Residency Program’s First Graduating Class, August 2023
Members joined the AltaMed Foundation Board of Trustees to hear from two graduates of the AltaMed Family Medicine Residency program’s inaugural class. The graduates shared their inspirational journeys to becoming full-time AltaMed physicians. Leadership also spoke about the program’s vision and its pivotal role in delivering quality healthcare for those we serve.
Art, Culture and Health, May 2023
Members gathered at AltaMed’s Corporate Headquarters rooftop in Commerce to hear Senior Leadership, Associate Vice President and Chief Curator of the AltaMed Art Collection, Susana Smith Bautista, Ph.D., Chicana artist and member of Los Four Judithe Hernández, and Chicano painter Eloy Torrez, as they discuss the AltaMed Art Collection and its important connection to the history, mission and vision of our organization.
